A group of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church parishioners, along with Rev. Chris Reising, seized the opportunity to turn Friday’s pleasant weather into an opportunity for fellowship and exercise with a bike ride to Jamaica.
Andy Wilson, Jon Wilson, Andy Kuhn, John McGee, Brian Riesberg and Reising departed Caboose Park in Perry at 5:30 p.m. for a 12-mile cruise to Jamaica on the Raccoon River Valley Trail.
Ben Williamson met the group in Jamaica for dinner and offered transportation back to Perry for those opting not to make the return trip by pedal power.
The Raccoon River Valley Trail is comprised of 89 miles of paved pathways, with a 72-mile interior loop. Plans are advancing to eventually link the RRVT with the High Trestle Trail in Woodward.
