Quinn Adair of Perry announced Monday he will leave the Perry Lutheran Home June 16 for a position as executive director of the MorningStar Senior Living in West Des Moines.

The Perry Lutheran Home announced Monday the resignation of its administrator, Quinn Adair, who will leave the Perry nursing home June 16 for a position as executive director of the MorningStar Senior Living in West Des Moines.

Adair, a Perry native, began work at the Perry Lutheran Home in 2012 and eventually served as administrator for both the Spring Valley Campus and Main Campus on Willis Avenue, directing human resources, operations and quality efforts. He helped oversee the development of the home’s child care, senior home care, assisted living, long-term care and memory care services.

“It has been an honor to serve Perry Lutheran Home for over five years,” Adair said. “I have had the great opportunity to help build new levels of care, work alongside so many staff with tremendous hearts for what we do and establish numerous relationships with special residents and families we serve. I have undergone a great deal of growth as a person and leader and will forever be grateful and proud of where it all started.”

Nurse Manager Kelly Moore, R. N., will serve as the interim administrator of 39-unit assisted living operations. Melissa Gannon, L.P.N., B.S., currently the business manager, will act as interim administrator of nursing care operations at the 70-bed Main Campus.

Chief Care Officer Deb Koelln and Chief Executive Officer Max Phillips will also have expanded management duties in the interim.

“We thank Quinn for his dedicated years of service to our Perry Lutheran Home family and to the Perry community,” Phillips said Monday. “One of our goals is to develop young leaders, and we are especially proud of Quinn and grateful for the leadership he provided during his tenure as administrator. We wish him God’s blessings in his new role.”
