The Amber Alert was cancelled Saturday afternoon that was issued late Friday night for two Des Moines boys allegedly abducted by their biological mother, according to information released by the Polk County Sheriff’s office and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Landon Griffin, 12, and Morgan Griffin, 11, were last seen Dec. 28 with their mother, Mary Andrea Purcell, 32, according to authorities.

Purcell is 5 feet 2 inches tall and 150 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. Morgan Griffin is 5 foot 3 and 140 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Landon Griffin is 5 foot 4 and 135 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Purcell might be driving a Gold or Brown 2003 Chevrolet Suburban with Iowa license number CRY371. She might be making her way to Minnesota or Oregon, authorities said.

One of the children has medical issues that need ongoing attention, according to reports.

The Polk County Sheriff’s office asks that anyone with information about the location of Purcell or her children should call the Polk County Sheriff’s office at 515-286-3333 or the local law enforcement agency.
