DES MOINES — The Perry Reds 12U softball team won a pair of games Saturday at the Des Moines East Classic. Playing in the Gold Bracket, Perry finished 4-1 Sunday for a combined 6-1 mark. More importantly, Perry topped Centerville, 8-6, on a two-run Lydia Olejniczak inside-the-park home run to win the championship bracket and claim their second consecutive tourney title.
The 12U Reds are: Sydney Barkley, Torie Devilbliss, Grace Garrett, Addison Huntington, Macy Kilmer, Lydia Olejniczak, Callie Steva, Nubia Torres, Maci Tunink, Peyton Tunink and Kathryn West.
