“Anatomy of a Bluejay,” the 2017 Perry High School yearbook, can be ordered now at Tree Ring, an online yearbook producer.

A softcover version is $25 and $31.95 for a hard cover.

Now that the school year is over, an additional fee for shipping will be charged, but the yearbook will be mailed right to your address, and it can be ordered any time.

“This is the second year having a yearbook at the high school after almost seven years without one,” said PHS English teacher and yearbook advisor Joy Berg. “We average 15 student staff members each semester who create the layouts, take pictures and fill in the page with the details.”

Berg said students are already planning next year’s yearbook.

“It’s always a work in progress,” she said, “so it’s not perfect, and we apologize for any errors not caught before sent to the publisher!”

The yearbook staff “will continue to grow and make it better with each passing year,” Berg said. “Once we get more established with the production of the yearbook, we might consider adding back in the school newspaper.”

Response to the revived PHS yearbook has so far been positive.

“I ordered the softcover last year,” said Superintendent Lynn Ubben, “and I really enjoyed having so many fun pictures in one place.”
