The Carnegie Library Museum Festival of Trees draws many visitors both before and after the Lighted Christmas Parade in downtown Perry. Trees are needed as entrants in the 2018 festival.

The Carnegie Library Museum Volunteer Committee is seeking participants in the 2018 Festival of Trees. The committee issued the following statement Monday:

“Don’t miss out on participating in one of Perry’s successful and highly anticipated annual holiday events — the Festival of Trees at the Carnegie Library Museum.

“The requirements for entering a tree are minimal, and there’s no cost to participate.

“Although the event is free, all donations received go toward the support of the Carnegie Library Museum.

“Please contact Katie Schott at 515-465-3809 or Laura Stebbins at 515-360-4980 no later than Nov. 3 with any questions or to commit to participating in this fun, family event.

“Set up will be Nov. 15 and Nov. 16 from noon to 4 p.m., with the trees on display Nov. 18 to Dec.29.

“Participants are the core to making this event a success.”

Christmas time is here. / Families drawing near. / Oh that we could always see / Such spirit in the year.
