The Dallas County Hospital is now able to give out-of-pocket cost estimates for certain procedures, a hospital spokesperson announced last week.
“Using the Patient Estimate Form available through the Dallas County Hospital website, patients are able to submit specific information allowing Dallas County Hospital to provide them with an out-of-pocket cost estimate for their procedure before it is even scheduled or performed,” said Jenny Hornsby, public relations manager for the hospital.
Cost estimates can be accessed through the Dallas County Hospital website at www.dallascohospital.org. By clicking on the “Out-Of-Pocket Cost Estimate” text under the Welcome area of the main page, visitors are taken directly to the Patient Estimate Form.
“Patients then need to complete the required information and submit the form,” Hornsby said. An account representative will then follow up on the information and provide the patient with a cost estimate for their procedure within three business days, she said.
