The Easter Bunny is coming to town Saturday morning at the McCreary Community Building at 10 a.m. and the Perry Hy-Vee at noon.

The Easter Bunny is expected to make a couple of stops in Perry Saturday, April 15 as he hops his way around the world.

The Bunny will be on hand for an Easter Egg Hunt at the McCreary Community Building. The Easter Bunny will arrive at 10 a.m. for pictures and fun with the family, and the Easter Egg Hunt will start at 10:30 a.m., with free candy and prizes donated by these local businesses: Ben’s Five and Dime, Tyson Fresh Meats, Hy-Vee and Casey’s General Store.

The bunny will then hop to the Perry Hy-Vee for more photo fun from noon until 2 p.m. So bring the kids and the camera for photos with the floppy-eared one. Kids can also sign up for a free Easter basket from Hy-Vee.

Keep an eye out for the Easter Bunny as he passes through the Perry area. He will start his day at 9 a.m. at the Dallas Center Middle School and might hop and stop at other places, too!

  1. A former manager at the Hotel Pattee assigned yours truly the duty of becoming the rabbit in front of the hotel several years ago. I grumbled and growled about it being beneath my dignity the entire two weeks left until that Easter. I felt like an idiot when I eventually donned the silly suit. My disgust lasted only the first five minutes outside. I’ve never been the same since. I insisted upon being the rabbit every Easter since. I would never trade the experience for anything now.
