Good news, pupusa lovers. El Buen Gusto will soon reopen at its familiar downtown Perry location at 1228 Second St.
Edith Barco and Leo Esquivel’s popular Salvadoran restaurant has been serving tasty dishes in downtown Perry since 2009. Their recent opening of a West Des Moines store did not make them give up ownership of the Perry store, and they have decided to start serving the Perry market again.
A liquor license has been approved, and a late-July reopening is expected.
