Four Jayettes earn All-RRC recognition

The Perry girls finished the 2016-17 basketball season 15-7 overall and 9-5 in Raccoon River Conference play. Four members of the team were recently honored by inclusion on the All-RRC teams.

Senior guard Grace Marburger was named First Team, with senior forward Emma Olejniczak and junior guard Jo Diw both tabbed for the Second Team while freshman guard Molly Lutmer earned Honorable Mention status.

Marburger averaged 14.9 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. She finished 36-of-107 (33.6 percent) on 3-point attempts and was 41-of-55 (74.5) at the foul line. Marburger totaled 46 assists and 25 steals while blocking seven shots.

Diw had per game averages of 13.1 points and 8.4 rebounds while hitting 21-of-80 (26.3 percent) 3-pointers while providing 34 assists and 42 steals. Olejniczak scored 8.1 ppg and cleared an average of 4.2 boards per outing while shooting 34-of-57 (69 percent) at the stripe. She had 20 assists and 12 steals.

Lutmer scored at a 10.2 per game clip and drained 32-of-94 (34 percent) beyond the 3-point arc. She finished with 17 assists and 17 steals.
