Hastings Funeral Home in Perry is in charge of arrangements for Gene Crecelius, 69, of Perry. Mr. Crecelius died at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Dec. 3 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Perry. Visitation will be after 1 p.m., with family present from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Hastings Funeral Home in Perry.
He is survived by his wife, Gwen of Perry; son, Chad Crecelius of Brighton Colo.; daughters, Kim Crecelius of Boulder, Colo., and Amy Crecelius of Arvada, Colo.; stepchildren, Renee Wagener of Ankeny and Cassie Russell of Ankeny; three grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
We are truly sorry for your loss. It is a loss for us as well. Gene had our store’s best interests at heart as just last week he talked to us about wanting to come back to work when he got out of the hospital. He loved hardware and we loved having him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
