Hawks get back on track, flatten Wheelers

W-G's Cole Theisen, shown batting earlier this season, had a double and four RBIs and tossed a complete game shutout Thursday in a win at Audubon.

AUDUBON — Class 2A No. 5 Woodward-Granger returned to the win column Thursday with a 6-0 victory at Audubon.

Cole Theisen scattered five hits and two walks while collecting the complete-game victory on the bump. He finished with one strikeout.

Theisen aided his own by swatting a double and recording four RBIs. Matt Rhodes had a single and a double and scored twice, with Austin Scharlau adding a double and a run scored.

Reese Jamison and Brady Aunspach both had a single and a RBI, with Matt Buch and Marcus McConahay adding base hits. Jamison, McConahay and Ryan Munoz also scored for the Hawks.

W-G will conclude their regular season with a visit to Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont tonight. The game is at Eddyville.
