The latest in a monthly series titled Home Maintenance 101 drew what could only generously be considered a light audience Monday at the Perry Public Library.

Iowa Public Radio home improvement expert Bill McAnally gave a presentation on “Air Sealing and Insulation” designed to help homeowners come up with relatively easy and/or inexpensive fix-it-yourself projects.

McAnally touched on a variety of issues, including the necessity of keeping moisture — and thus mold — from many areas of the home. He talked also of preventative steps that could be taken before issues arrive that drive up costs and require lengthy and professional attention.

The series is a joint collaboration between Habitat For Humanity and ISU Extension and Outreach.
