Perry Hy-Vee General Manager Darin Schoop, right, presented a check Tuesday for $599.17 to Doug Latham principal of St. Patrick’s School in Perry. The funds were raised in a two-day coupon giveaway and will be used toward a new dishwasher and playground equipment. Larry Vodenik, Perry Hy-Vee event coordinator, said the idea for the fundraiser came from a Hy-Vee in Omaha. “We thought we’d try it here, and it really worked out great,” Vodenik said.
