Perry Police say additional charges pending against two Perry men

Additional charges are pending Friday morning against two Perry men suspected of involvement in a robbery in downtown Perry Thursday afternoon, according to the Perry Police Department.

Matthew James Spaulding, 23, and Timothy Glen Pittman, 23, were arrested shortly after 1 p.m. Thursday on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Their involvement in an alleged robbery of Douglas McAtee of Perry is under investigation, according to Perry Police reports. McAtee told police Thursday three males stole his money, cell phone and class ring near the Kum and Go store at 1219 First Ave. in Perry.

Spaulding and Pittman are being held in the Dallas County Jail. The Perry Police Department has not made any public comments on the investigation.
