Janice Loewen, 67, of Perry passed away Friday, June 16, 2017, at the Dallas County Hospital in Perry Iowa.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 21 at 10:30 a.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home in Perry. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 21 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Memorials will be given to Habitat for Humanity and may be left at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent at www.carrisfuneralhome.com.

Janice Kay Loewen was born Feb. 19, 1950, at Meade, Kan., to Henry F. and Lena L. Loewen.

She attended school at Meade High School and went on to Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa.

She worked as a manager of Carter’s Thriftway in Ulysses, Kan., and then went on to work as a secretary at Clovis Community College in Clovis, N.M.

Janice enjoyed crocheting, making blankets, helping others when she could and anything involving her granddaughter, Miranda.

In death she rejoins her parents, Henry F. and Lena L. Loewen; brother, Roy; and a twin sister, Janet Loewen.

Left to cherish Janice’s memory are her son, Justin (Joey) Loewen; granddaughter, Miranda; siblings, Stanley (Lavonne) Loewen, Daryl (Barb) Loewen, Elvera (Ted) Goertzen and Verle (Sharon) Loewen; and close friend, Wanda Graham.
