GRIMES — Cold and windy conditions tested the girls golfers from Perry, Winterset and host DC-G at Beaver Creek Golf Course Monday.

DC-G finished with a score of 232, with Perry totaling 267 and Winterset 310.

“Beaver Creek is a long and difficult course,” Perry head coach Joel Happel said. “DC-G coach John Klaessy told me teams usually shoot 10 to 20 shots higher when they play here. Winterset certainly did. We played OK, but not great.”

Sarah Sweet led Perry with a 64, with Laurann Perry adding a 66. Caley Hager shot a 68 and Skylar Cunningham a 69 to complete the Jayette scoring. Hannah Roberts had a scheduling conflict and did not play for Perry.

The next action for the Jayettes will be May 26 when the team takes part in a regional tournament at Newton. Tee time will be 9 a.m.
