ADEL — Tuesday found the Perry girls track team searching for whatever points they could scrape up at the Tiger Invitational.

Perry’s best showing came from Sid Vancil, who sped to second place in the 800 in 2 minutes, 36.59 seconds.

The Jayettes received season-best times from Grace Stewart and Joselyn Carrillo in the 3000 run. Stewart placed third in 12:06.72, and while Carrillo did not score, her 13:03.35 represented an impressive drop of 28 seconds from her previous best time.

Haley Vaughn was sixth in the 200 in 30.23 seconds and Breanna Penenger sixth in the 400 low hurdles in 1:17.58, both season-best efforts.

Rylynn Gilmore was fourth for Perry in the shot put with a shove of 30 feet, 9-1/2 inches and sixth, in a season-best 82’10, in the discus.

Damaris Robles, Isabel Saemisch, Jaky Castaneda and Emma Olejniczak were fourth in the 4×800 (11:45.65), with Vancil, Vaughn, Penenger and Rachel Kinney fourth in the distance medley (4:42.52) while Maria Izquierdo, Leslie Vilalobos, Litzy Bonilla and Yris Guzman crossed sixth in the 4×200 (2:28.86).
