DES MOINES — On May 24 the Des Moines North softball lost to Grand View Christian, 16-2. When the Polar Bears fell to Class 4A No. 7 Perry (23-9) Tuesday, it was their 19th consecutive loss, a stretch in which they have not scored a single run. None.

Emma Olejniczak faced the minimum of nine batters, striking out seven.

Perry plated 10 runs in the inning, added five more in the second and another pair in the third.

Jo Diw was 2-for-3 with a single and a triple, with Gabby West 2-for-2 while T.J. Sheehy added a double. Sid Vancil, Alyssa Kruger, Rachel Kenney, Adriana Eastman and Brooke Huntington also had hits for the Jayettes.

Perry hosts Bondurant-Farrar tonight before traveling to No. 5 Ballard Thursday.
