  • Officers assisted with a medical call in the 1000 block of W. Adams Street.
  • The Carroll County Sheriff’s office said they located a wallet belonging to a Jefferson resident and requested an officer to tell the person the wallet could be picked up in Carroll. The officer passed on the message to the person in Jefferson.
  • A caller reported a dog in a hot car at 106 W. Washington St. An officer responded but did not locate the vehicle.
  • Robert Gilliland reported a burglary occurred to his vehicle overnight at 100 W. Vest St. Fishing poles were removed from the vehicle. An officer spoke to witnesses and is investigating.
  • Wilmer Aguilar-Flores spoke with an officer about threats being made toward his family members when they return to their country of origin after vacationing in Iowa.
  • A caller reported a shopping cart at a residence in the 300 block of N. Cedar Street. The caller thought it might have been stolen from Hy-Vee. An officer responded but did not locate the shopping cart.
  • Melinda Millard requested an officer inform a Jefferson resident that he is no longer welcome at her residence at 500 E. Clark St. The officer passed on the information to the unwelcome person.
  • A male requested officers at his residence in Jefferson for a domestic situation between him and his girlfriend. He repeatedly said his address was 219 N.W. Sixth St. Eventually the dispatcher determined the caller was in Jefferson, Ore. He was advised to call his local authorities and was provided with a phone number.
  • Randy Wright reported an old stereo thrown in his yard at 800 W. Washington St. An officer removed the item.
  • Officers performed a consent search of a vehicle and residence at 309 N. Oak St. Nothing illegal was located in the search.
