Leanna “Lannie” Lindsay, 56, of Perry passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at the Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.

Celebration of life services will be held at a later date. Memorials will be given to the family and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home. Online condolences may be sent at www.carrisfuneralhome.com.

Leanna “Lannie” Rae Lindsay was born April 4, 1960, in Perry, Iowa, to Eldon Byron and Vera Winnifred (Martin) Lindsay.

She attended the Perry Community Schools.

She worked for many years at Peters Service Center in Perry.

Lannie enjoyed collecting rocks and geodes. She loved cooking, grilling and having friends over.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eldon and Vera Lindsay; longtime friend, Gregory Templeman; grandparents; aunts; and uncles.

She is survived by her children, Brian (Daisy) Templeman of Perry, Mark Templeman of Des Moines and Charles Templeman of Council Bluffs; grandchildren, Hunter, Ashton Templeman, Alex Morales and Corey Hall; siblings, Laurie (Mark) Wolber of Perry and Jodie (Bob) Rosenbeck of Guthrie Center; and her longtime partner, Doug Shipley.

  1. There was never such a kind and attendant bartender as Lannie. Bernie and Linda both encouraged Lannie to keep the grill on until such time as I got there from working at the Lutheran Home. There is only a handful of the old Ballyhoo crew left now. I do so miss those who are gone.
