Monday’s quarterly meeting of the 100+ People for Perry donors club found 67 local residents and community supporters gather to support one of Perry’s leading non-profit institutions, the Perry Public Library’s adult, teen and child reading programs.
The group heard three of its members each pitch a project, and the members then voted for one, with the Perry Public Library receiving donations totaling $6,700.
The mission of 100+ People for Perry “is to invest in Perry’s future through supporting current charities/non-profits/worthy projects which advance the quality of life,” according to the group’s statement to ThePerryNews.
Since its formation in 2016, the group has contributed $33,700 to five local projects.
The next meeting of 100+ People for Perry will be Monday, May 22 at 7 p.m., with a social time starting at 6:30 p.m.
