Perry senior Nic Wilhelmi and Woodward-Granger seniors Alex Bodermann, Michael Connor and Tre Loge were selected to the 29th Academic All-State First Team by the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association.
A panel of coaches selected the team based upon nominations from their own coaches. Players must be seniors and must demonstrate outstanding academic, moral and athletic characteristics.
First team members will be honored at the All-Star Banquet Aug. 8 in Clinton. The event will be held at the Eagle Point Lodge and will begin at 10:30 a.m. For a complete list of Academic All-Staters, click here.
