WEBSTER CITY — The Perry frosh/soph football team suffered a lopsided loss Monday, falling to Webster City, 58-0.
The Bluejays allowed touchdowns on each of the first two offensive snaps taken by the Lynx. The hosts also returned a pair of interceptions for touchdowns in the first quarter to hold a 28-0 lead after only 12 minutes of play. The margin stood at 46-0 at the half.
Erick Funez ran 15 times for 29 yards, with Ben Ramirez (3-10), Abner Rivera (3-7) and Jacob Nelson (1-8) also carrying the ball.
Konnor Eppert was 1-of-3 passing, connecting with Ever Tobar for a 15-yard gain.
