A caller reported finding suspicious materials on the grounds of the Heartland Co-op near Minburn about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, and preliminary investigations by the Dallas County Sheriff’s office concluded the items were “remnants of a meth lab,” according to a sheriff’s deputy.
The methamphetamine laboratory remnants were found in scrub ground alongside the Raccoon River Valley Trail where it passes near the large pile of co-op corn on 187th Street.
The Minburn Volunteer Fire Department’s hazmat team also responded to the incident, which is under investigation.
