NFL Week 4 predictions

A brief overview of the six state title games on tap at the UNI-Dome.

Week Two of this NFL season was tainted by the worst result ever in my public picks, but Week Three? How about 13-3?

There are no exciting games this week after Thursday, where I predicted a Baltimore win. I mean, just look … every game is a dud, with the Sunday and Monday prime time contests genuine disasters.

Oh well, on with the picks …

Sunday’s Games
JETS at DOLPHINS (London), 12 p.m., CBS
I understand why the NFL wants to play a few games in London. What I do not understand is why they kept forcing bad football on our English cousins … JETS 26-13.

TEXANS at FALCONS, 12 p.m., CBS
Shhh … Atlanta sneaky good … FALCONS 30-10.

GIANTS at BILLS, 12 p.m., FOX
Probably the best noon game and hopefully it will air here. I am no fan of Rex Ryan, but even less one of Tom Coughlin … BILLS 27-20.

RAIDERS at BEARS, 12 p.m., CBS
Oakland should be able to throw the ball. What Chicago can do is still uncertain … RAIDERS 23-17.

CHIEFS at BENGALS, 12 p.m., CBS
KC fought hard all the way against Green Bay and will need to do so again in Cincinnati. It did not matter last week, and will not again this week … BENGALS 24-16.

JAGUARS at COLTS, 12 p.m., CBS
Hey, wasn’t there an NFL team on the east coast of Florida once? … COLTS 37-14.

PANTHERS at BUCCANEERS, 12 p.m., FOX
Two quarterbacks I absolutely (well, ‘passionately dislike’ will have to suffice) in a yawner … CAROLINA 33-11.

EAGLES at REDSKINS, 12 p.m., FOX
Philadelphia removed all instances of the word “Redskins” from their team media, so a pox on them! Too bad they are going to win … PHILLY 27-17.

BROWNS at CHARGERS, 3:05 p.m., CBS
Poor Cleveland … CHARGERS 35-10.

RAMS at CARDINALS, 3:25 p.m., FOX
The St. Louis defense is better than they have been playing, while Arizona is 17-2 in Carson Palmer’s last 19 starts. If he stay upright and healthy, look out … REDBIRDS 24-23.

VIKINGS at BRONCOS, 3:25 p.m., FOX
Sadly, I suspect this is the game that will be foisted on us. Happily, it is right at nap time … BRONCOS 20-10.

PACKERS at FORTY-NINERS, 3:25 p.m., FOX
Eddie Lacy has to be at 100 percent if Green Bay expects to reach the Super Bowl. He does not have to be in order for Green Bay to win this game … PACKERS 31-17.

COWBOYS at SAINTS, 7:30 p.m., NBC
Dallas somehow better on the road, but sans Tony … NAWHLINS 24-20.

Monday’s Game
LIONS at SEAHAWKS, 7:30 p.m., ESPN
Seattle simply too much … SEABAGS 27-14.

Byes: Tennessee, New England

Last week: 13-3; season: 25-23.
