Funeral services for Nicholas Ray Schirmbeck, 50, of Jefferson will be held at 10 a.m. Monday Aug. 7 at Hastings Funeral Home in Jefferson. Burial will be in the Scranton Township Cemetery in Scranton.
Visitation will be held Sunday, Aug. 6 after 2 p.m. at Hastings Funeral Home in Jefferson, with the family present from 4-7 p.m.
Nicholas died Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017, at his residence in Jefferson.
Nicholas was preceded in death by his parents, Adolph and Lavern Schirmbeck; sisters, Cindy Jo and Elaine Garnett; great-niece, Rachel Gross; and great-nephew Gerald Anderson.
He is survived by his granddaughter, RaeAnn; brother, Dennis (Gail) Blum of Jefferson; half-brothers, Larry (Virginia) Schirmbeck of Baltimore, Md., Lonnie (Linda) Schirmbeck of Missouri, Delbert (Debbie) Cox of Marshall of Minnesota and Leo Cox of Madison, Wis.; sister, Pam Hamilton of Jefferson; half-sister, Fran Satterlee of Carroll; brother-in-law, Roger (Lisa) Garnett of Jefferson; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
