Ogden Police Department Public Service Announcement: Due to recent vehicle burglaries, Ogden residents are reminded to lock their vehicles.

April 17, 2017

  • An officer assisted a stranded motorist in the 1200 block of 220th Street.
  • An officer investigated a complaint of two vehicles driving carelessly around the city park. The officer was unable to locate any vehicles.
  • An officer investigated a complaint of a vehicle going the wrong way on U.S. Highway 30. The officer was unable to locate the vehicle.

April 18, 2017

  • An officer assisted a stranded motorist at 513 N.W. Seventh St., #10, in Ogden.

April 19, 2017

  • An officer arrested a juvenile for serious assault from an incident that occurred at Spinning Wheels skating rink April 14.
  • An officer arrested Lee David Henry Bookout at 620 W. Walnut St., #3, Ogden, on a warrant out of Guthrie County.

April 20, 2017

  • An officer did a welfare check on an Ogden resident. The person was fine.
  • An officer handled a loose-dog complaint at the U.S. Post Office.
  • An officer assisted someone with a building permit question.
  • An officer investigated a complaint of harassment and bullying occurring at school.
  • An officer assisted Boone County Deputy Sheriffs with a single-vehicle accident in the 1100 block of 220th Street.

April 21, 2017

  • An officer spoke with Ogden High School principal regarding a bullying incident reported to the Ogden Police Department on Thursday. The principal is aware and taking necessary steps at the school.

April 22, 2017

  • An officer responded to a reported burglary in progress at 320 E. Elm St. The reporting party saw two males climb through the window of a house and then come out, run down the alley, get into a white vehicle and leave. The officer spoke with residents of the house. They were fine, and nothing was taken.
  • An officer received a complaint of a possible drunk driver northbound on H Avenue from 270th Street. The officer stopped the vehicle in the 1200 block of H Avenue. The driver was not intoxicated. He was having trouble due to the trailer he was pulling.

April 23, 2017

  • An officer assisted a Boone County Deputy Sheriff, the Ogden First Responders, the Ogden Volunteer Fire Department and the Boone County EMS with an accident involving personal injury just east of G Avenue on 170th Street.
  • An officer received a complaint of suspicious activity in the 100 block of W. Maple Street.
  • An officer assisted a Boone County Deputy Sheriff and the Ogden Volunteer Fire Department with a fire at 602 I Avenue.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
