July 17, 2017

  • Brooke Spillman at 213 Haws Dr. reported she lost her cellular phone. Spillman said when she calls the number, children answer it.

July 18, 2017

  • Don Hall at 113 W. Sycamore St. reported someone stole his cellular phone from within his unlocked pickup truck while it was parked outside of his residence.
  • Kimberly Lindholm at 250 S.W. Fifth St. reported someone called her claiming to be from the U.S. Internal Revenue Service and claiming she owed back taxes that she must pay or else they were going to put an arrest warrant out for her. This is a phone scam that has been going on for quite some time.

July 19, 2017

  • An officer assisted the Ogden First Responders and Boone County EMS.
  • An Ogden resident stopped in the Ogden Police Department to inquire about requirements for driving a golf cart in town.
  • An officer located a dog that was running loose and returned the animal to its owner.
  • An officer assisted someone locked out of vehicle.

July 20 2017

  • A Boone County Deputy Sheriff assisted the Ogden First Responders and Boone County EMS.
  • An employee of Cyclone Car Credit informed a Boone County Deputy Sheriff that he was going to repossess a vehicle in Ogden.
  • A Boone County Deputy Sheriff assisted the Ogden First Responders and Boone County EMS.
  • A Boone County Deputy Sheriff responded to a report of a small dog running loose and standing on the porch of 307 S.E. Fourth St., causing dogs at the residence to become upset. The deputy was unable to catch the dog. The owner was found looking for the dog and came and picked up the animal.

July 21, 2017

  • A Boone County Deputy Sheriff received a complaint of a suspicious person walking around Ogden municipal utilities. The person was gone upon the deputy’s arrival.
  • An employee of a local gas station said someone left without paying for fuel. The person used a Rewards Loyalty Card, so the officer did have a name and is trying to make contact with the individual to come back and pay for the gas. The case is still under investigation.
  • Ardith Williams said someone knocked on her window at 431 E. Sycamore St. There was nobody around upon the deputy’s arrival.
  • A Boone County Deputy Sheriff responded with the Ogden Volunteer Fire Department to a fire alarm at the Ogden High School. This was determined to be a false alarm.

July 22, 2017

  • A Boone County Deputy Sheriff responded to a fire alarm at the Ogden Middle School. This was determined to be a false alarm by the school custodian.
  • An Ogden resident called for assistance in getting her 13-year-old grandson to leave the area of the L. A. Good Library. The officer advised the boy to get into his grandmother’s car and go home. The boy did as he was asked by the officer.

July 23, 2017

  • An engineer on a Union Pacific Railroad train reported a group of children, approximately 8-12 years old, was near the tracks on the First Street crossing. An officer was unable to locate anyone near the tracks from N.E. Third to N.W. Fourth streets.
  • An officer assisted the Ogden First Responders and Boone County EMS.
  • An officer received a complaint about an injured rabbit. The officer picked up the rabbit and disposed of it.
  • An officer received a report about suspicious activity in the 600 block of W. Walnut Street. The officer was unable to locate anyone matching the description of the suspects.
