Public Service Announcement: Ogden residents are reminded to mow their lawns in a timely fashion and to avoid discharging grass clippings in the streets.

May 1, 2017

  • An officer attempted to locate a vehicle south of Ogden on H Avenue that was reportedly driving recklessly. The officer was unable to locate the vehicle.
  • An officer investigated harassment.
  • An officer assisted a stranded motorist at 331 S.W. Seventh St.

May 2, 2017

  • An officer arrested Andrew Anderson, 40, at 619 W. Elm St. for an outstanding warrant.

May 3, 2017

  • An officer investigated a two-vehicle accident in the parking lot at Howe Elementary School. Marlene Haberer, 65, of Ogden, driving a 2005 Chrysler, was involved in an accident with Brad DeShong, 26, of Ogden, driving a 2005 Ford. There was approximately $2,000 in damage to the Haberer vehicle and $1,500 in damage to the DeShong vehicle. There were no charges filed as the incident occurred on private property.
  • An officer responded to the Ogden High School regarding a student who made threatening remarks.
  • An officer assisted someone who was washing her vehicle in an automatic car wash, and the car wash dolly stopped in front of her vehicle and would not let her exit the vehicle, and both doors were down. The officer notified the car wash owner, who advised the officer to retrieve keys from the maintenance room and push the bottom in order to open the east door so the motorist could back out of the wash bay.
  • Gene Miller reported the theft of an air compressor and assorted tools from the bed of his truck while it was parked outside of his residence.

May 4, 2017

  • An officer assisted someone locked out of a vehicle.
  • A bicycle was found at Lincoln Prairie Park and was taken to the Ogden Maintenance Shed.
  • An officer assisted a stranded motorist.
  • An officer assisted the Ogden First Responders and the Boone County EMS.

May 5, 2017

  • An officer responded to 620 W. Walnut St., #3, regarding a civil matter.
  • An Ogden resident reported losing a black carabiner key ring with four keys.
  • An officer arrested Gary Riordan, 62, of Menlo for alleged driving while revoked. Riordan was also issued a citation for speed.

May 6, 2017

  • An officer picked up two loose dogs in the 300 block of S.W. Third Street.
  • An officer investigated a suspicious vehicle.
  • An officer assisted someone with a motor vehicle question.
  • An officer investigated a complaint of fireworks.

May 7, 2017

  • An officer assisted a Boone County Deputy Sheriff with a traffic stop in the 400 block of U.S. Highway 30.
  • An officer responded to the Ogden High School for an intrusion alarm. It was a false alarm.
  • An officer assisted a stranded motorist at 231 S. First St.
  • An officer did a civil standby at 519 E. Walnut St., #3.
