Oleta Bandy, 94, passed away Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015, at the Dallas County Hospital in Perry.

The family will be available for visitation at the Carris Funeral Home in Perry Monday, Aug. 10 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.  Memorial services will be held at the funeral home Monday, August 10 at 2:30 p.m.  A private graveside service for family will be held at the Violet Hill Cemetery after the funeral.

Oleta worked at the Perry Lutheran Home for a number of years but was mainly a stay-at-home mother and wife for most of her life.  She loved her family and enjoyed playing table games, card games and dominoes with her sisters, children and grandchildren.  Oleta loved cooking, canning and being around family, friends and neighbors.

Oleta is preceded in death by her husband, Robert, of 65 years; parents, Charles and Fleta Snyder; sisters, Lola Peters, Beth Keltner and Pauline Melbourne; and a brother, Charles Snyder.

She is survived by a brother, Ralph Snyder of Adel; sisters, Darlene Coleman of Redfield and Vera Buckley of Des Moines; son, Larry (Rebecca) of Sioux Falls, S.D.; daughter, Marylin (Maurice) Nielsen of Mukwonago, Wis.; grandchildren, Lisa Richter of Spirit Lake, Iowa, Kevin (Sara) Bandy of Olathe, Kan., Jason (Crystal) Bandy of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Mark (Mindy) Bennett of Oregon, Wis., Shaun (Holly) Bennett  of Appleton, Wis., and Stacey (Ryan) Healy of Muskego, Wis.; great-grandchildren, Madeline, Kolby, Elise and Addison Richter, Jackson and Kaden Bandy, Zachary, Jenna and Luke Bennett, Makena and Kyle Bennett and Avery and Evan Healy; plus many nieces and nephews.
