Panorama placed fourth in Thursday’s Perry Invitational, with the Panther netters finishing 1-3 overall.
The Panthers (3-9 overall) opened with a tight 21-16, 17-21, 11-15 loss to Perry, but bounced back to defeat Coon Rapids-Bayard, 21-12, 13-21, 15-11. The win avenged a 2-0 setback to host CR-B at their Sept. 2 tourney.
Ogden defeated Panorama 21-12, 21-10 to send the Panthers into the fourth-place match against Carlisle, with the Wildcats prevailing, 21-10, 21-13.
Brooke Halterman had a team-high 17 combined kills for the Panthers, with Nicole Rolfes adding 15 kills and Morgan Johnk 11. Kennedy Kuta tallied six kills and Hope Wilderman four, with Erica Block and Carson Fisher each adding one. Halterman, Johnk, Kuta, Rolfes and Wilderman had one block apiece at the invite.
Kuta distributed 44 assists, Halterman five, Block two and Wilderman one, with Johnk’s 21 digs leading the squad. Olivia Richey and Kuta each had 15 digs and Rolfes 10, with Hannah Woodworth making six digs, Block four, Wilderman three and Halterman two.
Johnk served 25-of-25 with three aces, with Kuta 26-of-31 with two aces. Wilderman was 15-15-1, Richey 15-19-1 and Woodworth 12-13-1 with Rolfes 23-of-24.
Panorama, which has not played since Thursday, will not return to the court until hosting West Central Valley Tuesday.
