MANNING — Denison-Schleswig won a tiebreaker to take second place from Panorama at the IKM-Manning Invitational Saturday at M & M Golf Course.

Boyer Valley’s 410 won the meet, with the Monarchs and Panthers tied at 424, with a fifth-score tiebreaker going to D-S by four strokes. Audubon was fourth at 458, with neither IKM-Manning nor AC/GC having the required four scores to generate a team total.

Katy O’Day of Boyer Valley and Hanna Outhouse of D-S were the top two medalists with rounds of 49-48–97 and 50-47–97, respectively. Panorama’s Anna Duis was third with a 52-48–100, with Anna Puck of Boyer Valley (54-47–101) and Jasmine Turner of Audubon (55-47–102) rounding out the top five individuals.

“We had a great day for golf,” Panorama head coach Melissa Hochstetler said. “This last week the girls have spent a lot of time at the driving range working on our problem areas and it showed today how well their hard work paid off.”

Duis led Panorama with her personal record round. Maggie Smith was second for the Panthers with a 53-50–103, with Cassie Labath (56-54–110) and Madi Fear (56-55–111) also scoring. Lauren McClatchey’s front nine 54 was a personal-best, but a back nine 63 created a score of 117. Taylor Raibikis also made the circuit, shooting 79-84–163.

“Our lineup for Monday’s regional meet at Eagle Grove will be the same as today, except freshman Chloe Webster will be replacing sophomore Taylor Raibikis,” Hochstetler said. “It is always a tight race to see who will get to play each week.”

“The girls are competitive, but they also do a great job of supporting each other,” she added. “I am happy I have the opportunity to coach them and I can’t wait to see what they do in the future.”

Taylor Klein (52-52–104) and Katy Puck (55-53–108) joined O’Day and Anna Puck in scoring for Boyer Valley.

Outhouse led D-S and Turner Audubon, with Kena Baier (62-58–120) the low scorer for AC/GC while Brooke Waterbury and Bailey Schechinger shot identical rounds of 55-50–105 for the host Wolves.
