Perry Boy Scouts of America Troop 127 held a pulled-pork fundraising supper at the First United Methodist Church Saturday night.

About 60 diners enjoyed the meat dish along with cheesy potatoes, green beans and drinks. Desserts included chocolate nut cake and lemon bars. A free-will offering was accepted.

The scouts hold their regular meetings at Perry’s First UMC and assist the United Methodist Men with their dinners, so the United Methodist Men were out in force to return the favor Saturday.

Scoutmaster Barb Spencer said she was happy with the turnout. Funds help to support Perry’s scouting activities, including camping trips and a variety of projects serving the local community.

Assistant Scoutmaster Gary Iles was ably assisted at Saturday night’s fundraising dinner by the boys of Troop 127, including, front row from left, sixth grader Caden Heck and sixth grader Kael Iles; back row from left, fifth grader Grant Tierney and seventh grader Sean Spencer.
