IOWA FALLS — Iowa Falls-Alden/AGWSR (11-9) defeated visiting Ballard, 3-2 (4-2 PK) Tuesday in their boys Class 2A Substate 7 First Round contest.
Perry (14-3) will host the Cadets Thursday in a Substate 7 Semifinal at Dewey Field, with the game to begin at 6 p.m. The Bluejays are undefeated against Class 2A opposition this season and have outscored their opponents 47-9 in regulation.
DC-G (9-7) was a 13-0 winner over CAL in the other Substate 7 First Round game and will travel to Webster City (15-4) to face the Lynx Thursday.
The two semifinals will meet, at Dewey Field, at 12 p.m. Saturday for the opportunity to advance to the state tourney.
