April 20, 2017

  • A caller asked to speak with an officer “regarding a female that was raped.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said she lost her keys.
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said her neighbor has two dogs, one on a leash and the other off, and she was “concerned the dog might charge her small child.” An officer responded.
  • A 16-year-old male from Perry was arrested on charges of fifth-degree theft and interference with official acts.

April 21, 2017

  • A caller reported “a male wearing a black T-shirt and dark clothes” was “standing in the middle of the highway between the curves.” The Boone County Sheriff’s office was notified.
  • Curtis Gene Hoyt, 52, 922 10th St., Perry, was arrested on a charge of assault.
  • A caller “reported a female left a toddler unattended in her vehicle.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said her husband “has made suicidal threats.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said his neighbors “blow their grass all over the alley.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “there was a girl in the middle of the road,” and “she was walking funny” and “carrying a stick.” An officer responded but did not find anyone fitting the description.
  • A caller said his wife “just got home, and she is drunk.” Officers responded.

April 22, 2017

  • A caller said she was “concerned for her brother” who she believed “is drinking himself to death.” Officers responded and made contact with the brother, who “was intoxicated but said he did not intend to hurt himself.”
  • A caller reported “a dead pregnant cat in the alley.” An officer responded and notified the Perry Public Works Department.
  • A caller said she was concerned “for a 5-year-old boy playing too close to the creek.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said his dog was lost. The caller later called again and said his dog was found.
  • A caller said her “house was broken into,” and “they took everything.” An officer responded and notified the Dallas County Sheriff’s office.
  • A caller said “there were seven kids bullying him.” He said “the other children took off when he called for help.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “she found some razor blades with what appears to be blood on them.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said a dog was running at large. An officer responded but did not find the dog.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “he was in a shoving match with his girlfriend,” and “she tore a shirt off of him and is refusing to give it to him.” An officer responded and found the female was intoxicated with a preliminary blood test alcohol level of .22.
  • A caller said her dog was lost. The caller later called again and said her dog was found.
  • A caller said a dog was running at large. An officer responded but did not find the dog.
  • A caller said she caught a dog running at large. The caller said “she will hold it for a while.”
  • A caller said “his brother hit his mother and then left the apartment.” Officers responded.

April 23, 2017

  • Ashley Ann Brown, 29, 1919 Warford St., Perry, was arrested on a charge of domestic abuse assault-aggravated.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
