August 3, 2017

  • A caller said someone “was sending him numerous phone messages and emails concerning visitation with their son.” The caller said “he was just listening to his attorney, who advised him to tell” someone “that she could visit their son at his residence because he didn’t feel comfortable allowing his son to be with” someone’s “boyfriend.” Someone “responded that she didn’t feel comfortable visiting their son at” the caller’s residence. An officer responded, and the caller “was advised to continue to work with his attorney on this issue.”
  • A caller “requested a welfare check on her son because” someone “was refusing to allow her to visit him.” The caller levelled “no allegations of child abuse or neglect,” but she “just wanted to know the child was safe.” An officer responded and attempted unsuccessfully to make contact with someone.
  • A caller said “she had a hysterical person they needed to get to the doctor and requested assistance.” An officer responded but found “no one was in the parking lot or at the apartment upon arrival.”
  • A caller said “he has an Xbox at his friend’s house,” and the caller has “a couple of his fiend’s guns.” The caller said he “left the shotguns in the vehicle for his friend to pick up,” and his “friend was going to drop off the Xbox,” but the “guns were gone in the morning, but the Xbox wasn’t there.” The caller said “he cannot get a hold of his friend now.” An officer responded.
  • A caller “reported a squirrel injured on the sidewalk.” The caller said “she does not have a way to put it out of its misery.” An officer responded.
  • A caller “requested an extra patrol of his mother’s residence since there seems to be some issues in the area with people who are disrespectful and loud.” An officer responded.
  • An officer of the Perry Police Department noted 30 vehicles passing the intersection of 18th and North streets. None was speeding. All made good stops.
  • A caller said “he has a neighbor kid going through his mail.” The caller said “he found it when he got home from work all over his yard. As he was picking it up, the boy went up to him and told him that was not his mail.” The caller said his name and address were on the mail, and so “he told the boy it was his mail.” The caller “wanted to know what he could do on his end.” An officer responded, and the caller told the officer “he just talked to his neighbors,” and “everything was okay at this time.”
  • A caller said she “lost the keys to the bicycles that were on the bike stand.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said a dog was running at large. An officer responded and transported the animal to the Perry Animal Holding Facility.
  • A caller said a vehicle “kept slowing down and speeding up and would not let her pass.” An officer responded.

August 4, 2017

  • A caller said “someone has been staying in a shed out back of her house,” and “she has seen him a few different times going in and out of her shed.” The caller said “she has told him before that he can’t be there, but he keeps coming back.” Officers responded.
  • An officer of the Perry Police Department noted 12 vehicles passing the intersection of 18th and North streets. One was speeding. All made good stops.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
