  • A caller said her 2-year-old child “ingested something that keeps the fish tank fresh.” An officer responded and the Dallas County EMS was paged.
  • A caller reported a theft at his business. The caller said he made “contact with the owners and advised their vehicles may have had things stolen out of them.” An officer responded.
  • A wireless 911 call was received. On call back, the caller “said her phone is very sensitive and she accidentally dials often.”
  • A caller from the Greene County Sheriff’s office asked whether officers from the Perry Police Department could locate and detain a man with a 7-year-old girl. The ysaid the man was a “non-custodial parent” who “was only to have supervised visitation in Coon Rapids,” bur “he took the child and left.” Officers responded, made contact with the man with the child and transported both to the Coon Rapids Police Department.
  • A caller said she found a cat that appears to be injured. The caller was provided
    with Des Moines Humane Society and a couple of other numbers she can call.”
  • A caller said “someone wrote some letters or marking on his front door.” An officer responded and found the words, “We know,” on the door. The officer advised the caller “to attempt to clean it” and “if there is damage, to call back.”
  • A caller reported two dogs running at large. An officer responded and found the dogs back in the possession of their owner.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. in order “to report his trailer as stolen.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said he “was following a Guthrie County school bus,” and “people were throwing garbage out the window.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said her son was missing. The caller said the son “is into drugs, and they have been having issues.” An officer responded.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
