Perry Police Report March 10

• A caller reported a dog running at large. The caller called again and said the animal’s owner “came and got the dog.”
• A caller from the Ogden Police Department said he had “information that a 46-year-old male from Ogden has been sending messages to a high school student” who is “a 15- or 16-year-old female.” The caller said the “messages are complimentary at this time, but he saw a request for photographs. Just thought the girl’s parents should be made aware of the situation.” An officer responded.
• A caller reported seeing a vehicle driven by “a female holding a child in her lap who can’t be 2.” The caller said there was “no car seat in the vehicle.” An officer responded, made contact with the driving and issued a citation.
• A caller said he “was recently scammed.” The victim said “he received a call from a party claiming to be Social Security.” The victim said he gave his Social Security number and bank information to the scam caller, and then “afterward he decided that was not the thing to do.” An officer responded.
• A caller said she caught a dog running at large. The caller called again and said “she had found the dog owner.”
• A caller said she lost her phone.
• A caller said a dog was running at large. An officer responded but did not find the dog.
• Sharla Ann Porter, 69, 2523 Perry Park Ave., #6, Perry, was arrested on a charge of public intoxication.

March 10, 2017

• A caller said “there was a rodent trapped in the trunk of her vehicle.” The caller said “it was the size of a small cat,” and “it will not leave the car.” An officer responded but did not find any trapped animal.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
