May 24, 2017

  • A caller said her dog was lost.
  • A caller reported “a strong odor of marijuana coming from the upstairs apartment.” Officers responded but did not detect the odor.
  • A landlord “requested to speak with an officer” regarding “a dispute over property.”
  • A caller “requested a welfare check” on someone 94-years-old. The caller said she got “no answer at the door” when she “attempted to deliver medications” and noticed the person’s “lunch is still on the doorstep.” An officer responded and determined the missing person was “giving piano lessons” and “was fine.”
  • A caller “said a juvenile came requesting assistance.” The juvenile “said he was assaulted” by people who “threw his phone in the creek and took his shoes.” An officer responded and determined “there was not an assault” but “possible harassment.”
  • Someone told a patrolling officer of the Perry Police Department that “someone stole a camera out of her store.”
  • Multiple reports, including a 911 call, were received of fireworks.

May 25, 2017

  • A patrolling officer of the Perry Police Department found a male “putting glow paint on the eyes of the statue located in the patio” of the Hotel Pattee. The person “was advised that is vandalism,” and “he was sent on his way” after “he cleaned it up.”

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
