May 19, 2017

  • A resident “requested extra patrol at his residence” in case someone “might cause problems.” An officer responded.
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said she witnessed an assault.” An officer responded and found “conflicting stories.”
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and “requested to be printed for running a daycare.” An officer responded and collected the $10 fee.
  • A caller said her daughter was missing. Officers responded. About five hours later, a 911 caller said “he was with the missing girl. He had found her on a tree and she was covered in mud and drenched.” An officer responded and found the child “confused.”
  • A caller said his neighbor “keeps banging on the wall.” An officer responded and found the neighbor “just getting cooking pans out.”
  • A caller said “her mom got a call from the IRS stating she owed them money.” The woman detected the scam, and “no info or money was given.” The caller “just wanted to make a report of the incident.”
  • A caller said his 6-year-old son “showed up at” his residence, saying “he did not want to live with his mom anymore.” An officer responded and learned the child had “”walked out of the trailer without telling anyone and walked to his dad’s house.” The child said “he does not like how his mom enforces rules and wanted to live with his dad.” The caller “wanted the police department to be aware of it and if the mom called, to inform her that he was with him.” The officer advised the caller “that he needed to take responsibility and advise his ex that his son is with him.”
  • A 911 caller said “her son seemed to be intoxicated and was trying to hit himself.” Officers responded and found the son “was fine and did not want to hurt himself at the time.”
  • “A 911 call came in but no one answered. Advised on the phone that this was the Perry 911 line several times, and no one answered. Could not call back.”
  • A caller said “she was eating chicken and is choking.” Officers responded. Dallas County EMS was paged.

May 20, 2017

  • A patrolling officer of the Perry Police Department found two street lights out. The officer “contacted Alliant.”
  • Bradley Louis Gordon, 43, 1703 Warford St., Perry, was arrested on charges of first-offense OWI, carrying weapons and careless driving.
  • A worker reported a person startled her who “was digging through the dumpster.” An officer responded but did not find the digger.
  • A patrolling officer of the Perry Police Department “assisted a semi getting to Tyson.”
  • A caller said “a vehicle that is under her name has been taken.” An officer responded.
  • A patrolling officer of the Perry Police Department was “flagged down by a person who said they were in a fire and en route to the hospital.” The officer transported a man and a woman to the Dallas County Hospital with minor burns.
  • A caller said “her purse was stolen from her vehicle.” An officer responded.
  • A caller requested a welfare check on someone who “has made threats in the last week that appeared to be suicidal.” Officers responded and made contact with the suspected suicide, who said “he is okay, and he is not thinking of doing anything.”
  • A caller said “a large limb that fell on the street” was “blocking a part of the Stop sign.” An officer responded, and the Perry Public Works Department was notified.
  • A caller said he caught a dog running at large. An officer responded and transported the animal to the Perry Animal Holding Facility but before confinement, “the dog tried to bite” the officer and “managed to escape.” The officer was “unable to catch” the golden chihuahua.
  • A caller said “she was ready to be picked up and go home.” The caller said she lived in a Perry nursing home. The nursing home was advised.
  • A caller said someone was “on his bike, riding around her car, spitting on it.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “a neighbor keeps leaving notes on her apartment door” even though the caller “has asked her to stop.” An officer responded and assisted the neighbors to resolve their differences.
  • A caller said his son saw a 15-year-old boy who “appeared to be carrying a gun.” An officer responded and made contact with the 15-year-old with the toy gun.
  • Someone entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. with “three baby ducks.” An officer responded and sought an agency “who could assist with taking the ducks.”
  • A caller said “a boy about 8 years old” was “running back and forth onto the street” and “distracting drivers” with “a sign.” The caller was “concerned an accident might happen.” An officer responded and “spoke with kids,” explaining the risks in their behavior.
  • A caller said someone “keeps calling and saying, ‘Bitch,’ before hanging up. The caller said “it sounded like kids.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said her friend “implied via text message that she was going to kill herself.” Officers responded.
  • A caller said “he could smell marijuana coming from the apartment below him.” An officer responded.

May 21, 2017

  • A caller “reported a suspicious white male riding a bike with a trailer.”  An officer responded.
  • A caller said “she found a headless animal in the Casey’s dumpster.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “he smelled marijuana through his vents.” Officers responded.
  • A caller “reported there was vandalism done to the car wash.” An officer responded.
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “a dog came out in the street towards her” while she was walking. As she “attempted to get the dog to return home, the dog owner then started using profanity toward her.” An officer responded.

May 22, 2017

  • Michael Clark, 41, was issued a citation for operation without registration.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
