A caller said he caught a cat running at large. An officer responded and transported the animal to the Perry Animal Holding facility. The Humane Society of Perry was notified.

The Perry Police Department School Resource Officer responded to the Perry Elementary School for “an out-of-control third grader.”

A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. in order to “speak to an officer regarding some bad checks he received” at his place of business.

A caller said her dog was missing.

A caller said “he left his vehicle running, parked in front of his residence,” and “someone took off in the vehicle.” While describing the apparent grand theft, the caller “said the vehicle was just returned” and “said his sister had taken it as a prank.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
