  • A caller reported two suspicious people who “climbed the fence and are in the backyard” of a neighboring residence. Officers responded and learned the people were there “to check on the dogs, but the door was locked.” The officers made contact with the property owner, who “verified it was okay for him to be there.”
  • Officers of the Perry Police Department conducted a funeral escort.
  • A caller said a dog was running at large. An officer responded and transported the dog to the Perry Animal Holding Facility.
  • A caller from Madrid said her dog was lost. The caller said she “thought maybe someone had picked the dog up and brought it to Perry.”
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “he was struck by a vehicle” while riding his bicycle “but had no injuries.” The man said he “landed on the hood of the vehicle, then rolled off.” The man said the driver of “the vehicle pulled forward, stopped, asked if he was okay” and “then drove off.” He described the driver as a “heavy-set white female.” The man reported “some damage to the bike and would like her insurance to cover for that.” Officers responded.
  • A caller said “a contractor dumped cement in the street.” An officer responded and found “construction workers were putting in a sidewalk” and “accidentally dumped gravel in the street.” The “workers were removing the gravel from the street” when the officer arrived.
  • A caller said “her children are being harassed on the us after school.” Officers responded.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. with “a black computer bag” he found on the street. A tag in the bag showed it was “property of Perry Middle School.” A caller later called “to report the backpack missing” and then retrieved it.
  • A caller “said she received a phone call from someone who said they were with the” U.S. Internal Revenue Service. The caller said the person on the telephone “said she hadn’t paid her taxes and was going to jail.” An officer responded and advised the caller “not to give any kind of information to them” because “it was a scam.”
  • A caller said “she and her daughter are being stalked.” Officers responded and explained to the caller “hot to get a no-contact order.” Officers made contact with the stalker and warned of “possible stalking charges i it continues.”
  • A caller said “sometime overnight her bike was stolen from her garage.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “a stray kitten walked into their home.” The caller later entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. with “a gray kitten.” An officer responded and transported the kitten to the Perry Animal Holding facility.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “he’s been receiving a lot of phone calls from a number he doesn’t know.” An officer responded and advised the man “it was either someone with a wrong phone number or a scam.”
  • A caller said “his sister causes problems, and he would like to serve her with a no-trespass order.” Officers responded.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
