October 18, 2017

  • Hector Luis Espinoza, 19, 2111 Warford St., Perry, was arrested on a Dallas County warrant on a charge of probation violation.
  • A caller said “someone has broken into his garage.” The caller said eh did not “believe anything is missing except some silver magnets that were on the refrigerator.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said she lost her billfold.
  • A caller said someone dumped a load of junk near his dumpster. The caller said it is a “continuing issue.” An officer responded.
  • A caller from the Dallas County Hospital said someone “who is supposed to be there on a committal order has just left the hospital.” An officer responded, located the missing person and “transported her back to the hospital.”
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and reported “two dogs that are not being taken care of.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “his coworker’s jacket” was “taken while it was left outside for a few minutes.” The caller said “they have it on video of the male taking it.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “her daughter was not home and she needed to be.” The caller said “her 18-year-old daughter did not come home and was out with friends.” An officer responded and told the caller “that her daughter is an adult at age 18.” The caller asked “how many days have to go by before she can report her daughter missing.” The officer said if the caller “believes her daughter is missing to come into the Perry Police Department, and we will fill out a missing person’s report.” The caller later reported “she made contact with her daughter through Facebook, and she was fine.”
  • A caller said “someone on a bike was yelling profanities at her” and “had opened the door and let the dog out.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said her brother “was being harassed by his ex-, and she took their daughters.” An officer responded.
  • A caller reported “a male who was walking in the area of First and Willis who was waving at cars.” The caller said the waving man had “a bushy hairdo, no shirt, with pants that are falling off.” An officer responded but did not find the waving man.
  • A “caller reported a person who appeared to be talking to himself.” The caller said “as they passed him, she looked in the rear view mirror and noticed that he fell.” An officer responded but did not find the man who fell.

October 19, 2017

  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said he returned from vacation and “noticed yesterday his detached garage had been broken into.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said he saw a male “riding around on a black, medium-sized bike, carrying a Playstation.” The caller said “he then noticed the same individual carrying a TV.” An officer responded.
  • A caller from a local retail store said someone was “caught in their camera system possible shoplifting.” An officer responded.
  • A caller reported an abandoned bicycle. An officer responded, and the item was “transported and secured at the bike shed.”
  • A caller said “someone had stolen his cell phone today.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said two dogs were running at large. An officer responded.
  • A caller said his son “took his dog from the shop here in town and took it to his ex-wife’s house.” The caller said his son “should not have taken the dog.” An officer responded and made contact with the ex-wife, who said “the dog was purchased when they were married, and (she) was unsure on who the dog belonged to after the divorce.” The officer made contact with the son, who said he “went to the shop and found the dog did not have any food or water.” He said “the dog was a family dog prior to the divorce, and he had a friend drive him to the shop to pick up the dog.” The officer made contact with the caller and “advised him that this will be a civil matter and nothing criminal occurred.”
  • A 911 call was received. The caller said “his daughter was playing on his phone.” An officer responded.

October 20, 2017

  • A caller from the Dallas County Hospital said “the person they have a committal order on is in the main entrance of the hospital and appears like she was ready to bolt.” Officers responded.
  • A patrolling officer of the Perry Police Department found a door ajar at the offices of Gatehouse Media. The officer secured the building and made contact with a keyholder.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
