September 19, 2017

  • A caller said “someone slashed his front passenger and back passenger tires.” An officer responded and determined the “tires were not slashed,” but it appeared “that they drove over something that damaged the tires.”
  • A caller requested a welfare check on someone “who has not answered the door for meal service.” An officer responded and made contact with someone who “was fine” and said “she was watching TV and wasn’t able to get to the door.”
  • A caller said “there is a hawk that appears to be stuck on some wires.” An officer responded and made contact with the Dallas County Conservation authorities, who said the “situation should be handled.”
  • A caller said “someone broke into his business.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said she had “concerns for the kids that live at” a residence. The caller said the children “don’t have beds and don’t get enough food.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said someone was “banging on her door.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “someone broke into her garage.” An officer responded.

September 20, 2017

  • A caller said “a female that is her son’s ex was there causing problems.” Officers responded.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “he just saw a man in a tractor mower tear down 30 feet of fence by the trestle bridge west of town.” An officer responded, “checked the trail” and “did locate the damage.” The officer learned a “Dallas County Conservation employee caught a piece of fence with the mower,” and “they are repairing it now.”
  • A caller said “his wife had trashed the house, and she took some of his medications.” An officer responded and found “the medications were thrown around the room,” and “there were several pills on the floor and pill bottles thrown around.”
  • A caller said her son “left school earlier than he should have yesterday, and today he did not go at all.” The caller asked whether an officer of the Perry Police Department would “go to her residence and check on him” because “that might possibly scare him.” The School Resource Officer responded.
  • A caller said a dog was running at large. An officer responded and transported the animal to the Perry Animal Holding Facility.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “someone stole his front and back plates to his” vehicle. An officer responded.
  • A caller said “she just got home” and “noticed the screen to her bedroom window is torn out of it.” An officer responded.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. in order to speak with an officer regarding “problems with tenants in the apartments above his business.” An officer responded and “advised him of the eviction process.”
  • Officers of the Perry Police Department “assisted with escorting the homecoming parade.”
  • A caller said a dog was running at large. The dog was later brought to the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave., and the owner “picked the dog up.”
  • A caller reported “a stolen three wheeler” at a residence. An officer responded and determined the item was not stolen.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
