Sarah Lindner from the American Cancer Society stopped by Wednesday’s practice session of the Perry volleyball team, and for good reason.
Perry had hosted Winterset Tuesday in a “Dig For a Cure” match that helped raise awareness, and funds, for the fight against breast cancer. As a result, the Jayettes had a donation to offer Lindner, in the amount of $1,289.33.
Perry will host the Jayette Tournament Thursday, with Ballard, Roland-Story, Saydel and Woodward-Granger attending. Play begins at 4:30 p.m.
