Wednesday of PHS Homecoming Week was busy with activities all around the Perry area as high school students fanned out for Volunteer Day, but the highlight of the mid-week celebrations was the Homecoming Parade, revived this year after an absence.

ThePerryNews.com will soon bring you a full report of the day’s many goings on but in order to whet our readers’ appetites, we now offer two brief video clips.

The first clip show the Perry Elementary School fourth and fifth graders as they swell the progress of the parade with their bicycles, ridden in support of the Let’s Connect trail project between Perry and Woodward.

Our second clip shows some of the nearly 100 PHS students who worked building fences and spreading mulch at the Perry Tree Farm.

The PHS cheerleaders also had their hands full painting the storefront windows of more than 50 businesses in Perry. For a full list of businesses, sponsors and the day’s busy schedule — plus what’s on tap for Thursday and Friday — read ThePerryNews.com.

  1. Thank you, Jim, for what you do! It was a great parade with MANY people lining the route. What school spirit everyone seemed to have! They were very pleased that the parade was back! Go Jays!
