Postseason volleyball set to begin Tuesday, Wednesday

Everything will be on the line for local volleyball teams this week, with Panorama and Woodward-Granger opening Class 2A postseason play Tuesday and Perry Class 4A action Wednesday.

Panorama (7-24) visits Madrid (11-15) Tuesday for a Class 2A Region 3 first round match. Madrid was a 25-20, 22-25, 25-22, 18-25, 15-4 winner over Panorama in their lone meeting of the season, Aug. 24. The winner advances to play host AC/GC (20-9) Oct. 23.

Woodward-Granger (22-13) hosts Ogden (10-11) on the bottom half of one side of the Region 3 bracket. W-G was a 25-20, 25-15, 26-24 victor at Ogden Thursday. The victor will travel to No. 9 Tri-Center (27-2) in Neola Oct. 23.

AHSTW faces Underwood (winner to No. 4 St. Albert) and Eagle Grove battles Fort Dodge St. Edmond (winner to IKM-Manning) are on the opposite side of Region 3. The semifinal round in Oct. 26, with the Region 3 Final to be played in Underwood Oct. 31.

Perry (7-24) will visit Harlan (22-12) Wednesday in a Class 4A Region 2 first round tilt, with the victor to play host and sixth-ranked Sergeant Bluff-Luton (36-3) Oct. 24. ADM and Boone play Wednesday, with that winner traveling to Glenwood Oct. 24. The Region 2 Final will be hosted by the highest remaining seed Oct. 30.
