The Perry Summer Swim Team had 47 of their 59 youngsters in action Thursday, overwhelming the 18-member Glidden squad that visited the MCB pool.

Perry prevailed, 474.5-72.5 to raise their mark to 8-0. They can cap an undefeated regular season with a win Thursday over Sac City at the MCB pool, with the first event diving in at 6:30 p.m.

Aleah Karolus (8U), Lilly Riley (9-10), Sophia McDevitt (11-12) and Abby Herman (13-14) were all five-time winners for the Perry girls, with Sarah Prombo (8U) winning four times while Zoe Hibbert and Quin Mahler-Moreno (both 9-10), Addison Huntington and Kaylee Wuebker (both 11-12) and 15-18 swimmers Stephanie Hill, Breanna Peneger and Haley Vaughn all tallied triple wins.

Rachel Johnson and Isabelle Powell (both 8U), Rebecca Johnson (9-10), Sarah Merz (11-12) and Dannah Karolus (15-18) each posted double wins, with Jenna Nelson (11-12) and Laura Merz (13-14) each winning once.

Isaac Winey (8U) had five wins for the Perry boys, with quadruple wins recorded by Logan Castillo (11-12), Riese Archer and Jacob Storey (both 13-14) and Ethan Winey (15-18). Winning three times were Townes Wilson (8U), Ian Thompson and Garrett Winey (both 11-12) and brothers Chase and Devon Archer (both 15-18), with Bryan Anderson and Dysen Deardorff (both 8U), Kane Mahler-Moreno (9-10), Josh Prombo (11-12), Cristopher Gonzalez, Marcus Nelsen and Dylan Winey (all 13-14) and Drew Storey and Alex Thompson (both 15-18) responsible for double wins.

After Thursday’s meet the PSST will have over a week off, as the Iowa West Swim Conference meet will be held July 15 in Sac City, beginning at 10 a.m.
