The IHSAA said the “decision was made based upon the National Weather Service forecast and the winter storm warning that has been issued for tomorrow.”
Tickets already sold for Friday’s game will be honored Monday, with the schedule remaining unchanged.
The Class 1A title game between Iowa City Regina (12-1) and Western Christian (11-2) will kick off at 11:06 a.m., with the 2A title contest between Mt. Vernon (11-2) and Spirit Lake (13-0) to begin at 2:06 p.m. Cedar Rapids Kenney (13-0) will face Dowling Catholic (12-0) for the 4A crown at 7:06 p.m. All games are at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls.
Two championships have already been decided, with Marcus-Meridan-Cleghorn nipping Don Bosco, 57-52, for the 8-player title while Gladbrook-Reinbeck blasted Akron-Westfield, 52-20, to claim the Class A crown.
Norwalk and Pella will contest the 3A crown this evening.
